About us

We came to New Jersey from India with a short list of what we missed most: the right rice, the right dal, the achaar that tastes like home. Finding them meant a long drive and usually settling for the wrong brand.

So we opened the shop we wanted to walk into. The one where the gongura pickle is the one your mother buys, where the sona masoori is the variety you actually cook with, and where somebody behind the counter speaks your language.

Rice and flours, dals and lentils, millets, Andhra pickles and podis, sweets and snacks, and organic herbal powders. We carry the brands families ask for by name rather than whatever is cheapest to source.
